Audiologist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiologist to join our team of health professionals. The successful candidate will be proficient in providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic audiological services to our patients. This individual will conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for adults and children, auditory processing assessments, cochlear implants, tinnitus management, wax removal, and implement therapeutic rehabilitation for balance and hearing impairments, among other responsibilities.

We are an independent hearing clinic and we are based in Rochedale South of Brisbane. We fit all hearing aid manufacturers and we do not have sales targets. The position is a full time job Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

Management:
  • Maintain the highest level of client confidentiality at all times.
  • Identify and implement ways to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of event execution.
  • Ensure correspondence, documentation and financial transactions are conducted in accordance with All Ears in Hearing and standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness.
Leadership:
  • Ensure high levels of communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Experience & Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  •  Accredited university or equivalent degree
  • A current license in Audiology (or eligibility to obtain the same).
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Audiology is preferred.
  • Proficient with digital hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to quality patient care and excellent customer service
Skills, Knowledge and Ability
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of hearing and balance disorders for patients of all ages, using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic services including hearing aid fittings, cochlear implant evaluations, and auditory rehabilitation.
  • Consult and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including ENT physicians, speech therapists, and educators to provide a comprehensive care plan for each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and the use of hearing aid and implantable devices.
  • Carry out hearing screenings and follow-up diagnostic services.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advances in audiology and incorporate these developments into patient care when appropriate.
  • Provide expert testimony or consultation on hearing and balance disorders when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.

Key Selection Criteria
  1. A knowledge and understanding of how an Audiology business operate.
  2. Demonstrated experience in delivering office management duties.
  3. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability
    to deal with complex issues and work under pressure with minimal supervision and
    meet set deadlines.
  4. Demonstrated analytical skills.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in quality improvement processes.
